Was it DNS resolution, or was it lack of response, or ??? I know that from time to time I have problems using the Internet because my ISP's DNS servers are shut down. I can ping them, but I can't get address resolution from them. And my local router automatically gets them as DNS servers via DHCP; I can't manually enter something else. AND it gives itself as the DNS server internally, again by DHCP. Somewhat frustrating.
