Obama supporters in the State Legislature are directing one investigation. Palin has asked that the state ethics board hire a truly independent counsel to determine whether evidence of a violation of the state ethics act exists by filing a complaint against herself.

BTW the Program Manager for this investigation Senator Hollis French, has already stated that the report on Troopergate will be "damaging" and will result in an October Surprise for the McCain campaign.(story)

They've written the verdict before they gathered any evidence. All they need to do now is conjure enough 'evidence' to fit their theory.
