Uncle Tom's (Log) Cabin Republicans sell out by oot 2008-09-15 14:17:16
The Log Cabin Republicans have endorsed McCain/Palin.

Apparently they're excited that McCain opposed the federal marriage amendment. But he didn't oppose it because he supports gay rights, he opposed it because he thought it was a "states' rights" issue". He SUPPORTED an attempted ban on gay marriages (including banning civil unions and domestic partnerships) in Arizona, and has stated his support for the attempt to bring in a ban in California as well.

He voted against the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (which would ban employment discrimination based on sexual orientation).

He is opposed to the Uniting American Families Act (which would allow the foreign same-sex partner of an American citizen the same immigration rights as a foreign opposite-sex spouse).

He is against allowing same-sex couples to adopt.

...the list goes on... and Palin's record is even worse!

...so I'm really not sure what the Log Cabin Republicans think they're doing endorsing them (if they're even thinking at all)
