"Oh, you're already a day behind? Well guess what. If it wasn't working, you should have told me when it stopped working. It's not my fault you waited till I was going home to tell me you needed me for something. I'll get right on it, first thing tomorrow."
I have actually done this, in front of my manager, and he backed me up. When a project has to pay for my additional hours (no, I don't get paid, but my company does), they don't like the idea of my having to stay late because someone else didn't do their job. |
