Seems EA have paid some attention to the DRM by sazzer2008-09-15 02:09:05
Sorry EA, but I'm not buying it. by ShadowSystems2008-09-15 04:24:29
    Okay, one thing I don't understand by Arachnid2008-09-15 06:28:49
the big difference is the activations by Freakazoid 2008-09-15 08:41:55
previous games only required the disk to play which means you could install it 5 or 10 years later with no problems. Also: most DRM of that fashion has a tendency of going away with time. (gets removed with later patches)
The problem with activations is the game no longer yours, you can't go back and play it years later. Another example: let's say EA goes *poof* tomorrow, you can no longer install & play your legally purchased copy of Mass Effect, Spore or the upcoming Red Alert 3.
