Delivery companies by TheGM2008-09-15 01:59:01

tell the estimated date of arrival. If you're lucky the parcel got a tracking number and you can trace it on it's way. But when it arrives at the nearest hub (usually sometime at night) you still don't know whether it will be your lucky day and the delivery boy wakes you at 7 am or it will be rushed to your place the following day at 8 pm. And one time in the past it took them 2,5 days from the hub to my door - and that's less than 2 miles for UPS.

If you want to you pay extra for delivery within a specific time like 3 days, but then it still might happen, that it is there a day early. If you send it express you can choose from tomorrow, tomorrow until noon, or with some services even tomorrow until 9 am. But that is expensive.
