Seems EA have paid some attention to the DRM by sazzer2008-09-15 02:09:05
Sorry EA, but I'm not buying it. by ShadowSystems2008-09-15 04:24:29
Okay, one thing I don't understand by Arachnid 2008-09-15 06:28:49
I really dislike copy protection, and I despise DRM (just to get that clear).

However, games have used copy protection - including earlier editions of SecuROM - for yonks. I remember floppy disk games that used them. And commercial game companies selling games _without_ copy protection is virtually unheard of until recently (Go Stardock!)

So why the sudden outcry from gamers as if this is a new thing? Is it just that the activation requirement has pushed it past the bounds of 'annoying but tolerable'?
