.. that two of my neighbours are retired and at home pretty much all the time. Postal service/DHL is OK otherwise, too, the just leave it at the local post shop, which is basically just across the street where I can pick it up the next morning. UPS usually finds a neighbour to drop things off too. TNT was the worst so far, after a couple of failed attempts I had to drive ~50km to pick it up at one of their service centres because the didn't manage to deliver it in any way. And then when I arrived at that service centre, they told me it was still on a truck and if I wanted to wait 2 hours. Then AFTER I spent 2 hours in a nearby bar and went back they found out it wasn't on the truck after all but just below the counter. Bah.
