Delivery companies by TheGM2008-09-15 01:59:01
[USA] Ours will usually give us a time range... by jpprater 2008-09-15 03:09:24
...but in some areas it takes an act of God (or a specific request or expression of displeasure from the shipper) to make them deliver after 5PM.
Where I used to live that was a constant problem. My wife and I both work. She's a teacher, so she has summers off, and in the summer we had no problems receiving stuff. During the regular school year, tho, if anyone but USPS tried to deliver something and we couldn't get to the nearest service center to get it, we had to call and have them return it to the shipper. And they always asked "Are you refusing delivery?" And we always corrected them, "No, you are refusing to deliver to us. Put that in your records, that you refused to deliver this package to us when we're home."
By the time we moved, UPS probably had a customer service file 2 inches thick with my name on it... >.< </rant>
