No Excel. PAW and ROOT. by jnareb2 2008-09-15 00:21:49
I'm quite sure that the amount of data from LHC precludes using Excel. I think that they use homegrown PAW (Physics Analysis Workstation) and its successor/rewrite ROOT. Perhaps R.

And rather than Word they use LaTeX; the number and required quality of mathematical equations make Word almost completely non suitable for physics articles. I guess that secretaries use Word, though...
