...as well as any Republican running against them (McCain/????), and the entire Republican spin machine, including Rush, Hannity, and Fox News.
The Republican Party has built quite a reputation, over the past couple of decades, for running on a platform of crap and using intimidation, fear, and all kinds of other psychological garbage to press voters into pulling the "R" lever come election time. Not that the Dems don't do some of the same things, but it runs counter to their overall message, and they don't do it particularly well, either.
But that "bully" message was a "let's go defeat the Republican bullies" message.
