The fanfic subject has come up regarding UF before by Illiad 2008-08-27 20:24:45
I was attending a panel, and a faithful reader asked me if I would approve of any fanfic based on UF. If the fanfic was all text, I was fine with it. If it was in strip/cartoon form, and particularly if they used my art, I would be a little annoyed. My point was that until I had finished my work, and UF as a daily strip is a large work that is ongoing, I wasn't keen on someone producing UF cartoons, with my characters. When the day comes for me to retire UF, I would likely be fine with a fanfic strip, provided it was made clear that it was fanfic and not canon.

I am not a fan of slashfic, but that's a personal taste thing. :p
