It was bandaged too tightly against her other toes, and when she removed the bandage, we saw it had just... popped? I've never seen anything like it, so I can't pick the most accurate word. The only thing I can compare it to is when you're a kid, and you tie a string around a finger, and the finger gets redder and redder. Except instead of necrosis, it pops like a water balloon.
