Re this You might want to take a look at this. It's the list of a quote for a machine I asked in April. This machine (without any disk/CD/etc drives) would have cost me 250 EUR at that time. Add a hard disk (50,- for 500GB - even if you say you don't need much space, you don't want to save just 5-10 EUR only to get a drive half in size) and an optical drive of your choice (unless you've got already something to use) and you're done. So the cost ends up at 300,- plus optical drive (if necessary).
