It's not treachery. Enlightened self-interest. People come and go. They may not be happy about it, but that be not your problem. Two weeks' notice, make sure you have everything they need to know documented understandably. They'll understand, or they'll get over it. They may even be anxious enough to keep you that they make you a counter-offer. :)
