over the next million years, we'll learn how the human brain works and develop digital telepathy. Integrated tricorders would let our heirs see how the astronauts' brains were acting and thus reveal what they were thinking. Then our heirs would project what they needed to into the astronauts' heads using microwaves or magnetic fields or whatever.
