same thing. 18 and 21 is not necessarily too big a difference in itself, but it really depends on the people involved.

Back in early spring this year I found myself interested in a very pretty, reasonably smart freshman girl, who seemed to have at least some level of interest in me. We went out to dinner once and I decided that it just didn't feel right; I did a hell of a lot of maturing in three-and-a-half years of college and she hadn't had time for that yet. I consider myself relatively mature for my age/gender combination, and she was about middle-of-the-pack for eighteen-year-old-girls. Much though I wanted it to, it didn't sit right with me.
