speakertweaker's words. Admittedly, some aspects of political correctness go too far. However, others are doing a great job of make the world a little more polite.

I will call someone a disabled veteran, instead of a cripple.
It's all about polite vs impolite.

The point of political correctness was originally supposed to be a way that you could not offend those you do not wish to offend. The problem is that people have taken it too far and "lie" by using political correctness.

I won't lie. I think Speakertweaker is being a royal a3 about this "problem". And, I can be honest when I say I will continue to honestly use political correctness when I actually do not wish to offend.
