When I first moved out, I was 2 hours from my family (3 if my mother drove). It was tough, but I was still close enough. Then I met Spud and moved 7-8 hours away. Fortunately, we are close to her family as that's what really is important. From my point of view, her family gets along great, mine doesn't fight, they brawl. Easy decision. But it would be nice if they all lived in the Cleveland area.
