If you wear a beard long enough, you get used to the feeling of spiders crawling across your chin when you yawn. I've worn one for close to 15 year, but I've shaved it off twice, only to regrow it soon after. During those times, I couldn't get used to the feeling that my face was shot up with heavy doses of Novocaine. I have no intention of shaving again. It's become a part of me, and very few people in my life now have ever seen me without one. Plus, it's nice not having to shave every day! :)
