My oldest Seagate is about 8 years now, and I'm all-Seagate now with *calculates* about 10 drives in different boxes, 6 of them running pretty much 24/7.

Usually my drives to to the [Important data drive]->[OS Drive]->[Drive for unimportant or temporary files] -> [Dedicated swap drive] cycle before they are finally dumped.

So far I have only drives in the last two stages fail on me, but none of them was a Seagate yet. 3 failing drives were the infamous IBM Deathstars, and two WD.
