I had a huge proliant that I was using as a coffee table. I salvaged it from the dumpster, and managed to get it to run with a pair of hot-swap SCSI drives (note: despite the name, you can not pull the C: drive while the system is running...O.K. you CAN pull the drive, but don't expect the system to continue running.)
I wouldn't recommend using it for anything graphic intensive like games, as they only come with support for basic VGA graphics if I recall correctly. But if you are setting up an email server, or back up computer for archiving files, it should be O.K. |
