I don't know what the maximum length is for PCI-E but for PCI it's ~12.3 inches so the 11 inch long 8800GTX should have no problem fitting in. However, the only cards of that length in common use today are the high-end graphics cards so cases have shrunk as smaller cases are cheaper and for some people more convenient. A standard ATX/mATX motherboard is 9.6 inches wide. You could look for cases that take EATX motherboards, as they're 13" wide any case that supports them should have the drive bays placed beyond the end of the GTX.
