Invoke UFicle: Boxed CPU thermal compound by PeKaJe 2008-08-26 04:56:13
I recently bought a boxed Intel Quad core and I'm wondering if the thermal compound that comes with the heat sink is good enough, or if it is worth getting some other thermal compound and replacing it. Or could I even replace it at a later date if I find it's not good enough? Years back I got a heat sink with a relatively poor thermal compound that melted and hardened in a way that prevented it from being cleaned sufficiently, but maybe Intel makes something better?

          I suspect its a solid at -250C or less. (n/t) by NDwight2008-08-26 06:13:43
