maybe in the 300-500Gb range. Other than that it should handle 90% of the games available. I know that a few of the high end games may need more than 1Gb ram and 256Mb vidoe for optimal performance, but if you can get it at a reasonable cost. it will make a nice desktop system.

Ubuntu should not have any problems with any of the hardware or drivers, and it will run more efficiently than Vista. (which should go without saying)
