Pressing Alt+Print Screen only sends the active windows to the clipboard. What the OP is looking for is something like PrintKeyPro: http://www.warecentral.com/. Costs 20$ and is quite useful. There's also a discontinued free version called PrintKey2000, but I haven't been able to find the download file anywhere :\|
