I don't have that kind of attention span on a Friday night. Ending poverty doesn't have the lure of directly increasing their advertising sales. It's at least a second or third order effect. Android phones would result in a lot of users tied directly to Google. And I don't think Google wants to make phones directly. They want the regular cell phone companies to do that. Google just wants the phones to be made to a certain specification such that it runs the Android platform (and all associated Google-related apps).
