I knew it was needed for other video formats (I.E. WMV, MPG, etc.), but I thought flash was all together (I.E. there is no codec for the flash player). I do have the additional repositories enabled, and can play most video just fine, whether it is something I downloaded or embedded. It is only flash that gives me problems.
