from that kind of mindset: "Thou Shalt Encrypt All Wireless Traffic." Regardless of the fact that the wireless traffic in question: 1) carries no confidential information; 2) is patrolled by folks with loaded automatic weapons; 3) is very far away from anything and anyone who isn't supposed to be there.
