GAH! Printing is a PAIN! by McNutcase 2008-08-22 10:28:11
My lovely world map doesn't print right!

OK... so I did that nice map in Inkscape, set the document properties to "landscape", and so on. It's all been lovely for on-screen editing.

Today, I finally get the printer set up; it's actually just a case of "plug in all everything", the Mac knows what to do with this printer. (running OSX)

Hit "print" in Inkscape, make sure it's printing to the right thing, and let it run.

I get most of the *drawing*, rather than the *page*. And it's portrait.

Is this likely to be because Inkscape is bad with printing, there's something I'm not frobbing, I'm working through X11, or what?

I'll check back for answers in about an hour, probably; I have job applications to get in. At least if I need to fax, I can do that...
