You made me cringe more than once. Being a sound engineer for my local church, practice and setup is key. Some people won't understand, but see if you can go through the entire singing with amps, choir and all before Sunday.
Without knowing the dynamics of the room, its hard to tell if the drums will carry. That also depends on the style of the drummer. As for the bass, you could probably get away with it if the amp isn't turned up loud. The electric, similar, but will have to be louder to carry.
Trial by fire isn't fun, make sure that everyone knows to expect sound tweakings the first month or so in a new location. Make sure they don't expect perfection, especially if they will not give you the ample practice with everyone present. |
