"One of the big challenges in transmitting wireless power is preventing too much energy from escaping while in transit." I would venture that one of the biggest challenges will be in securing wireless power so that whoever is paying for it isn't having it leeched away by the neighbours' Another will be convincing people who believe that the radiation from cell phones causes cancer that wireless power at orders of magnitude higher levels does not.
