was for the speech making the end of offensive operations. That mission was completed successfully.

This may very well be the beginning of the successful completion of the rebuilding phase. The administration was against an arbitrary withdrawal date being set by a bunch of REMFs in DC. This is an example of working with the new government of Iraq to meet their needs.

I think that the real problem you have with this is that in the long run history will justify finishing the war. In reality the proper application of force solves more conflicts and diplomacy ever will. Si vis Pacem, para Bellum
