the Iraqi government. This is not the US government flip-flopping, in my opinion.
The UN charter/aegis under which the US has been operating expires at the end of this year. So, they had to come to an agreement with the Iraqi government.
I figured Peace_Man would actually applaud this development, as it is a major move towards autonomy for Iraq. |
