if you really wanna see if it's temps, take the side of the case off and have a box fan or something else large-ish blow on it while the system's running.

I doubt it's overheating though. 45C isn't much in the scope of things. my cpu routinely hits 53-55C under full load before the fan kicks into high gear and things stabalize. (adjustable speed fans are lovely, keep quiet when not necessary and only get noisy when needed)

not 100% sure but I think the motherboard chipset reports itself in the 40C range as well.
