I was told, back in my 20's that I needed to be less than 130, preferably about 125, lbs to be a healthy weight at 5'3".

My mother who has a slighter frame than I and is an inch shorter was threatened with being forcibly hospitalized for ANOREXIA for being a 121 lbs!

I got down to 135 and could not get lower no matter what I did. I gave up after that.

At my most fit I weighed about 145, was a size 10, and worked 9 hours a day, 6 days a week doing landscaping. That included laying sod, moving 25 gallon potted trees, and doing hardscape. I also had a body fat percentage of 21-22%%!

The BMI charts suck as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, I'm overweight and I know it but my cholesterol rocks, I've been less than 160 for both HDL & LDL combined for the last 3 years, and my blood pressure is down enough from the exercise I *have* been doing to take me off my blood pressure meds. Last time I was checked my blood pressure was 120/74 and that was last week.

My goal is to get less than 30% body fat. If I get there I'll be a happy woman.
