Currently shivering our way through the Winter here, but our hot Summer nights are absolutely GHASTLY, often into the high twenties. Had a little reverse-cycle aircon unit put in the bedroom last Spring (Autumn or Fall for you up in the top hemisphere) - made nights tolerable like the ceiling fan never did. Now setting it to come on at 0300 hours at minimum heat to take the chill out of the mornings. Back home (England), air conditioning meant opening the window.
