9-YR old Girl Scout selling cookies is robbed by Illiad2008-07-29 13:30:01

    Aye. by Illiad 2008-07-29 13:47:21
The parents have a lot to answer for here.

Mind, we shouldn't discount the power of peers. I'm willing to bet that the two teens go to a school where pretty much every child comes from an affluent, privileged family. I know someone's younger brother who goes to one of those dysfunctional "we all rich" high schools, and his class was given a book to read for the summer. It was written by a woman who lived a dirt poor life but turned that around with brains and pluck, and is now wealthy. The younger brother mentioned how several of his classmates all asked why they had to read the book when "we'll never be poor."
