the Clue bat.)

I just had a friend send me a *Ten Meg* email.
Thankfully it was from one Gmail account to another.
(I highly doubt anyone ELSE would've allowed it through!)

It was about this "awesome carved tree!"
It showed all these really neat animals "carved into the trunk over the generations", and was all gushing about how the tree refused to die.
Over !EIGHTY! pictures embedded inside the thing, none of them would display (they were attached, but not properly linked to within the message itself), and it ground my Gmail connection to a stand-still until it finished downloading.

"Why, this looks familiar." I think to myself.
Didn't I see a special on the Discovery Channel on this?
Something about "Tree of Life" at Disney World???
Sure enough, a ONE SECOND Google search turned up 976,000 results for "Walt Disney World Tree of Life".
Which is made of wire mesh, sculpted concrete, and LOTS of elbow grease by a LOT of very talented artists.
But it's not real.
It's art.
Opened to the public in 1998.

She sent it to over sixty of her "friends & family".
If Google doesn't smack her for it, *I* certainly would like to.
I hit "Reply to All", stripped out everything of the original email, & wrote:
"Google Is Your Friend: Walt Disney Tree of Life."

Maybe her "Friends & Family" will appreciate the gesture?
*cough*
