all posts, so sorry if this has been discussed. But nowhere in the article did it say WHY he didn't eat it. Perhaps he was considering converting, and didn't feel comfortable eating it until he made his choice. Perhaps he wanted to look it over and see if the idea made sense to him.
All in all though, if you don't believe in what it symbolizes, it's just a cracker. If you do believe, it's more. The whole thing is supposed to be symbolic, so it only really means anything if the person truly believes in the symbol. |
