Antivirus software advice, please! by Bonzo 2008-07-10 15:23:08
I'm sick and tired of Avast!
Time and time again, as this software failed me.
I have used files on my computer (and others) that prove to be infected with a trojan.
I have not noticed this until I try to run the application on a computer protected by, lets say F-Secure.
And the realtime scan..
I was just now copying files from one disk to another.
My "Download" directory, to be specific..
On the COPY, it detects a new trojan.
How about telling me about the trojan that time when I downloaded and RAN the God damned file?!

I really want to like Avast!, I really do.
It's nice, free and RAM friendly.
But it obvoiusly doesn't do the job it's supposed to do.

What can you recommend?
I like free, but can accept "cheap".
