And everyone who in this thread was arguing against the seriousness of their reactions, well, that gives any of them who may read it more reason to feel they were right to 'defend their faith' (i really hate that phrase, but its the only logic for it my mind can encompass) no matter in how extreme a manner.
If we dont outright condem wrong, if we obfuscate the issue in this manner when it comes down to religious matters, and refuse to draw parallels that point this out, then, is it any wonder we have Fundies like those boycotting McDonalds right now? |
