Just a thought on patriotism and the US flag... by toxin 2008-07-10 14:48:46
OK. Obama does not always wear a flag lapel pin. [a baffling controvery to us non-mericans]. Would he be seen as more or less patriotic if he were wearing a flag motif Speedo?

If one demonstrates patriotism by the wearing a depiction of a flag, would not having it as close as possible to one's body demonstrate more patriotism?
Should his wife have to have flag motif undies/bathing suit too?

Does having a flag image that close to ones' bodies imply great patiorism, or does it not desecrate the flag by being so close to organs of elimination?
