Not to long ago he stated he would filibuster against any measure granting Telecom Immunity for warrantless wiretaps regardless. Now he has voted for it.

Could it be Obama voted for it because Chicago Mayor Richard Daley's brother, William served as President for SBC from 2001 to 2004 and the Mayor decided his brother needed some legal cover?
