Political question, but not for US Election thread by ag__wyvern2008-07-10 10:51:47
First question answer. Yes, when presented in an by Classic_Jon 2008-07-10 11:25:21
intelligent manner and with data to back up that opinion I have changed my mind on some things that you are discussing. It is one of the reasons that I like to listen to both sides of an issue LOGICALLY discuss it before making up my OWN mind on the topic. The second peopel resort to "because I said so" they get summarily ignored.

Second answer:
It is not so much that a politician can not change their mind it is more of the fact that so many of them say "I *STRONGLY* believe in $thing" and then do a total 180 on it. If you are a politician and you DO change your mind you need to be able to explain *WHY* you changed your mind to the people that elected you so that they will understand. If you just say "Because I changed my mind" or for political expeidency then I will lump you in with the above people that say "because I said so" and get summarily ignored.

Ploliticians are ELECTED to represent the people and their best interests. If you can not explain the *why* of why you made a decision...then IMO the people should vote for someone else next time... Problem with that is the sheeple don't want to think...they want the decisions made FOR them so they can jsut do and not think....like good little sheeple...
