Personally I have no problem with politicians changing there mind if it happens over a reasonable period of time or after a situation changes and they can articulate the reasons behind their change of opinion. When their opinion changes come rapidly and happen to mirror the electorate group they are courting at the moment, that is flip flopping.

I hate the "move to the middle" that happens after the primaries. Candidates from all parties are guiltily of it and it makes it harder to figure out which version of their policy goals is the real one.
