weight, the banana and shake probably aren't a bad idea. Just make sure you reduce your portions at your regular meals, and continue to avoid eating after the post-workout shake. You'll probably actually gain weight as you pack on some muscle mass with that kind of regimen, but that's part of building a new shape.

Another tidbit: add other exercises to your workout routine--situps, jogging, jumping-jacks, push-ups, pull-ups, etc--instead of just working with the weights; the exercises actually utilize more muscle groups and help you tone all around, where the weights let you focus on specific muscles.
