I've been told, by trainers, that it's best to have a snack before your workout, and a meal afterword. If doing both is going to put you over a viable calorie count for losing weight, then take the same amount that you already eat and split it up. Have a little bit before your workout to give your body some energy, then eat the rest afterward.
