Fundie-FUD at that. It's easy to lump all your demons into one group like that. It's far easier to blame one "bad" group for all the ills of the world because that requires no thought at all. It's easier to scream and yell like a lunatic about how $group is causing the downfall of civilization as we know it because fear is the great motivator.

Lost your job? Blame $group.
Lost your house? Blame $group.
Kids failing school? Blame $group.
Gas prices too high? Blame $group.
Don't like the weather? Blame $group.

See? It's easy. Just find something you don't like about someone, and just pile on all the other bad things on top of it.
