Regarding this: post

Leonidus:
Grabbing raw data from a port is easy once you get it:
- Open putty.
- Enter Adres of the server you want to listen to.
- Select under that box you want to listen to a 'RAW' connection.
- Enter the port you want to listen to.
- At the bottom you have the options for behaviour 'On Exit' (End of session) Select 'Never' (That way your screen stays open after the grab.)
- click open.

Depending on the server / service you're listening to you can now type 'bytes' to send and receive those the server sends. This can be tested the best by opening http port connections (Which will generally punch back a lot of html normally parsed by your browser) or for example a SMTP connection, on port 25. (Enabling you a crude way to read your Email instead of using outlook.. Brush up on your SMTP protocol though.. ^_^ )

Spisefisken:
I happen to know that it's possible somewhere in the settings to specify compiler software, and define parameters for said compiler... I must admit that I never actually used it to compile stuff with. (I do my C(dialects) in VStudio, my Java in Netbeans and use Textpad for PHP which isn't compiled...)
